About
Dirty air enters a cylindrical chamber tangentially, creating a powerful vortex. Centrifugal force flings heavier particles against the wall, where they fall into a hopper. The partially cleaned air then exits through the top. Best For: Often used as a first stage before a bag house or cartridge filter to remove the bulk of coarse, heavy particles. This protects the more expensive final filters, reduces maintenance, and extends filter life. It can be used alone for capturing large chips and sparks in machining or grinding.
